How we can help

Summary

We have a statutory obligation under the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act (PPERA) 2000 to maintain a series of registers

The search section in PEF Online introduces a new way of accessing the registers. All of the information previously available on the registers is still available, but using our new interactive search tools will make finding this information easier and analysing the results more versatile.

The Advanced Search option allows more detailed search criteria.

Transaction search

Use the transaction search to find transactions and loans provided to Political Parties, and to Third Parties, to Permitted Participants and to Regulated Donees. Select which regulated period by quarter or by an election or referendum. Or search by lender to see funding to all entities across all regulated periods.

The Advanced Search option allows more detailed search criteria.

Campaign expenditure search

Use the campaigns expenditure search to view spending by a political party, third party or permitted participant during an election or referendum. Or search by supplier to see services provided to all entities across all regulated periods.

The Advanced Search option allows more detailed search criteria.

Please note: historical data up to and including the 2010 UK Parliament general election does not include individual Campaign Expenditure return items.

See the help page on the Campaign Expenditure screen or contact the Electoral Commission for more information.

Registration search

Use the entity search to view the details of all the Political Parties registered on the GB and NI registers, all registered Third Parties and all the Permitted Participants registered for a referendum.
